Job title: Senior ESG Reporting Consultant

Team: Group sustainability team (RSK Group), Nature Positive

Location: Hybrid (Bristol, London or Manchester)

Nature Positive is an RSK Group business. As Senior ESG Reporting Consultant, you will be part of a dedicated internal team, which is responsible for supporting the delivery of RSK’s 2030 sustainability strategy, Second Nature.

The Role:

The Senior ESG Reporting Consultant will be responsible for the design, co-ordination, and delivery of RSK Group’s non-financial reporting obligations and voluntary sustainability disclosures. Working cross-functionally across the group, this role enables ESG data to be collected, assured, and communicated to the highest standard — meeting both regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Core responsibilities:

ESG reporting and disclosure

  • Manage the development and delivery of RSK’s annual Sustainability Report and all mandatory non-financial disclosures
  • Lead alignment with current and emerging reporting frameworks. For example, TCFD, CSRD, IFRS S1/S2, SASB, UK SRS
  • Manage responses to ESG ratings agencies such as EcoVadis and investor ESG questionnaires
  • Co-ordinate the external assurance process for non-financial data with third-party assurance providers

Data governance and systems

  • Maintain robust data collection processes for ESG metrics across RSK Group entities and central functions and consolidate data to meet group reporting requirements
  • Build upon data governance standards, controls, and audit trails to support assured reporting
  • Monitor evolving reporting requirements and adapt processes accordingly

Stakeholder engagement and insight

  • Act as the primary point of contact for internal and investor queries relating to ESG reporting
  • Partner with key functions such as finance, SHEQ, legal, procurement and communications on integrated reporting and disclosures
  • Prepare ESG performance and benchmarking analysis for senior leadership

Strategy and continuous improvement

  • Support the development and monitoring of progress against RSK’s sustainability strategy, targets, and KPIs
  • Benchmark performance against peers and identify opportunities to improve ESG ratings and positioning
  • Keep abreast of ESG developments, regulatory changes and best practice, and translate these into actionable recommendations for RSK Group.

Qualifications and experience (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of three years demonstrable and relevant professional experience in an in-house or consultancy environment
  • Demonstrable expertise with a major reporting framework(s) (e.g. SASB, IFRS S1/S2 or ESRS/CSRD)
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder reporting processes across a large organisation
  • Demonstrable record of producing high-quality sustainability disclosures and a solid understanding of investor ESG expectations
  • Proven ability to manage and improve data collection systems and governance processes

Qualifications and experience (beneficial)

  • Relevant postgraduate qualification
  • Experience with ESG reporting platforms (Workiva, Watershed, Sphera, or similar)
  • Experience in external audit, assurance, or sustainability consultancy

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Technical expertise: strong knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks and regulation, and an ability to translate complexity into clear action
  • Analytical rigour: critical data interrogation to identify errors and inconsistencies and maintain accurate and defensible disclosures
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present complex information in a way that clearly articulates performance, impact and leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to analyse and synthesise data and produce polished, engaging reports for varied audiences
  • Excellent project management skills with a record of delivering high-quality outcomes
  • A flexible, positive attitude with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Adaptability: thrives in a fast-moving environment, with keenness to learn about and work within new reporting frameworks

Working arrangements:

Most Nature Positive staff are based in one of offices: in Bristol, London, or Manchester. This is a permanent, hybrid role with at least two days per week in one of the three offices mentioned above, to facilitate personal development, collaboration, and team working.
